These capabilities enable EDF Trading to deliver essential asset optimisation services, risk management and wholesale market access to the EDF Group and its third party customers, helping them to realise the value inherent in their asset portfolios.
Our Finance department is responsible for full financial control of the EDF Trading Group business.
Financial control includes ownership of all financial control processes; financial accounting in accordance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, FRS 101); management and statutory reporting on all EDF Trading group entities; financial planning and analysis (budget and forecast), support for business transactions; and financial support to the business and management via full and detailed knowledge of business processes and models.
The Transaction Finance and Overhead Accounting team are part of the Finance team, who are responsible for maintaining up to date and accurate accounting records in our financial systems.
You will gain an exposure to Finance in a head office environment and work in close coordination with other members of the Finance team. You will be given the responsibility of dealing with business transactions and working to deadlines. Typical day to day activities include checking bank details, processing payments and creating a cash forecast each day. You will interact with a number of people from different areas throughout the business which will provide you with an insight into the day to day running of a busy Finance department.
You will be working towards an analytically-based discipline; degree in maths, engineering, science or finance.
Ideally, you will also have strong numerical skills and be familiar with accounting practices.
This role will be for a period of up to 10 weeks based in London Victoria
