My Guide...

Go to www.inookshook.co.uk Search - View - Apply

As mentioned in previous "guides" you do not have to be logged in to your account to search for Internships. However i recommend that if you have an account you should always LOG IN first and if you don't then you should immediately register and complete your "Intern Profile".

Search:

The 4 most recent Internship posts are displayed on both the home page and the Interns page.

To see all posts go to the Interns page and click any "Search" button this will open an "overlay page" giving you the option to look for something specific or narrow down your search criteria by simply selecting an industry sector and / or a location. You will also have the option to register if you haven't already done so.

To proceed simply click Search and you will be taken to the "Vacancy Search" page which will display all the internships available that match your selected criteria and where, if you wish, you can change your criteria and search again.

View:

Click "View" on any Internship posting to find out the details of what's on offer and open each section by clicking the arrow. The section will not open if its either "withheld" or "incomplete".

  • About the Employer
  • Internship description
  • Qualifications required
  • Skills required
  • More information about the role
  • Location

Note - it is up to you to read all the information provided and work out if the opportunity is suitable for you before you apply.

Apply:

When you click "Apply" you will be directed to the application page if you are already logged in. If you are not logged in it will open an "overlay page" requesting that you LOG IN or Register. Type in your username and password and click LOG IN.

You will then be redirected to the "Application page". Check the application is for the correct role and complete the "why would you be great in this role" section.

This is your opportunity to show that you understand the role being offered and explain how your skills, qualifications, personality and experience are the perfect match and why the Employer should pick you.

When you are ready click submit and your application will be forwarded to the Employer. You will be redirected to a confirmation page where you can click to "return to your account". I will explain how your account works in a later guide.

Good luck with all your applications remember you can apply for as many internships as you wish.

It's now up to the Employer to review all the applications and "decline" or "accept". This will all be explained in a later guide.

Keep updated:

Finally - I recommend you "subscribe". Whether or not you have registered you need to make sure that you keep up to date and don't miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime. Internships can be filled very quickly so you need to know as soon as they are posted. This is also another reason why you need to register and create your profile straight away.

Happy hunting...
